Effective October 6, 2026. These terms cover your use of AV Room Planner, run by Blue Edge Systems, Inc.. By using the site you agree to them.

Estimates, not engineering advice

The calculators give estimates from general rules of thumb. They do not account for your building, your equipment or local codes. They are not professional engineering, architectural, electrical or safety advice.

Have a qualified installer confirm any result before you buy equipment or start work. This matters most for anything mounted overhead or on a wall: displays, projectors, speakers and their mounts must be fixed to structure that can carry the load, following the manufacturer's instructions and local building and electrical codes.

Budget figures are planning ranges. They are not a quote or an offer to sell.

Products and other companies

Some links are affiliate links, and we earn a commission if you buy through them. We do not sell the products, and we make no promises about their price, availability or fitness for your room. Your purchase is between you and the retailer.

If you request a quote, an independent AV integrator may contact you. Any work you agree with them is between you and them.

Product, company and standards names are the property of their owners and are used only to describe compatibility. No endorsement is implied.

No warranty

The site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Blue Edge Systems, Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on a result from this site, including equipment that does not fit, installation cost, property damage or injury. Our total liability for any claim is limited to 100 US dollars.

Some places do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Acceptable use

Do not attack the site, overload it, scrape it in bulk, or send false or abusive quote requests.
